On February 3, 2023, United Airlines Flight 1580 reported observing orbiting lights while flying at 38,000 feet near Billings, Montana. The FAA was notified, but no evasive action was taken by the crew.

On December 22, 2023, American Airlines flight AAL2003 reported an unidentified aerial phenomenon while en route from Dallas-Fort Worth to Seattle, near Pocatello, ID.

On February 19, 2024, a pilot reported multiple lights moving and circling at high altitude near Chicago-Rockford, IL. The UAP was not detected on ATC radar.
