le On 17 April 1952, the Reverend Dudley McNeil of Sault Ste Marie, Michigan,
was driving east on Michigan State Highway Number 28. Reverend McNeil states that
at approximately 1600 hours on that date and at a point approximately eight (8)
miles south of Sault Ste Marie, he observed for about sixty (60) seconds, a round,
pink, stationary object at an altitude of five thousand (5000) feet to eight thou-
sand (8000) feet approximately eight (8) miles to the north. The object appeared
to have a diameter equal to that of a B=29 type aircraft or larger. Reverend
McNeil further states that he continued driving but glanced from his car window
from time to time in an attempt to determine the size, shape, color, distance,
height and route of travel of the object so that he could report it to the author=
ities at Camp Lucas.
@e Rumors have spread to a small number of. people in Sault Ste Marie but
investigation revealed that no other person or persons had seen the phenomenone

the temperature at fifty (50) degrees.

f. Sun reflected from mist formed over St. Mary's River Falls at Sault
Ste Marie, Michigan.
