A commercial aircraft reported encountering two unidentified aerial lights while flying at FL400. The phenomenon exhibited rapid maneuvers and was not detected by ATC radar.

…) observed in the vicinity of Chiloquin, Oregon, on February 9, 2019. The UFO was noted to have a flashing white light and was flying at an altitude between 40,000 and 50,000 feet.

On July 15, 2023, Jazz 653, a Canada-registered De Havilland DH8D aircraft, reported a stationary UAP at an altitude of 20,000 to 22,000 feet near Seattle, WA. The UAP was later observed moving northbound. No evasive action was taken by the aircraft.

On October 28, 2023, United Airlines flight UAL541 reported observing a UFO/UAP activity while flying at an altitude of 50,000 to 60,000 feet near Buffalo, NY. The sighting involved a light that split into two and moved in a crisscross pattern. No evasive action was taken by the flight crew.

The AARO assessed that the UAPs reported in the Western United States were likely commercial aircraft operating within established air corridors, based on extensive data analysis.
