Group Intelligence WGD-2-53 | PAGE 2 OF 3 PAGES At eleven bundred on the 26th of July 1953, we were having a picnic et a camp site on Deer Creek in the Spring Mountains, My brother-in-law, Chester Anderson was looking at the clouds when he spotted a light speck which he asked me to look at through my binoculars which are fairly powerful, beigg 10 power, It was round at times appearing to get flater at others. It seemed to be revolving such as a disk might. The ohject seemed to have a darker surface on the top, such as a hat with a shallow crown, It was bright as new metal and at times I noticed a vapor, mist or some such sub- gstance on one side of the object. The object stayed in one spot for about ean hours the last time I looked I didn't see it, I had two pairs of binoculars with me and observed the object thru both pair, one being 10 power and the other 7 power. After looking for a while at the objec®, I went up to another camp, about 100 yards eway end showed it to a friend of mine, George Weingarten.
