It was moving. ; is p ible that it could have a search light; however, it moved back and forth in a limited arc. aS J abe tell, there was no overcast. As far as I know, the only i throw up a light like that is the airport at Tulsa, Okla.e, appr oz ianthiy os miles away. The most objects I saw were two (2), one of which was intermittent. One was directly above the other. There is a senethaiite of a trail. The uppermost light seemed to disappear occasion-= ally. There was a very limited range of movement, I would say a 10° arce I heard no noise. If these objects were at the distance I think they were, the movement would have been quite rapid, I would “ig! somethere be- tween 5 and 750 mph. This is based on what I have observed from aircraft. I left the objects to make the call to report them; when I went back they were not there. From time to time I saw stars above the object. I have never seen anything like this before. oximately 2300 (CST) on 6 July 1953-6 two and one-half (25) minutes. Ce I saw this object at appr I observed this for approximately 4e I observed it from the ground with the naked eye. lie I was outside on the ground at Cordell Hall, Oklahoma A & Campus, Stillwater, Oklahoma. The object was about 15° or 20° from the horizone It was about 120° North. The A & M Campus is located in the North Central part of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Se I have two (2) years experience as Control Tower Operator with the Air Force. I am a private pilot and have a CAA Certificate as a con- trol tower operator. I have approximately one hundred (100) hours in the aire 6. Further around towards North from 120° fron East on up to about Northeast (about 45° to 90°) there was some lightening. It was off down to the horizon. {fe Meteorological condition is ‘unknown. I did not take any pi nd did not obtain any fragments, There was interception to my knowledge. There was no aircraft in the air to the best of my knowledge, Declassification Authority: NND 57565 The following information was obtained by long distance telephone from Mre Earl Le Iba, Box 131, Goodweil, Oklahoma, telephone no. 3076. Mr. Iba is temporarily residing at Cordell Hall, Oklahoma A & M Campus, Stillwater, Oklahoma. le What I saw looked like two (2) search light flashes that varied back and forth, one hitting right on top of the other. They would flash back and forth and then center on onee It looked like the beam came from the ground. You could see part of the beam at times and other times it would fade completely oute It was larger than a search light beam. I saw this two (2) or three (3) different nights. I just thought it was a search light. There are no search lights in this part of the country that I know of; how- ever, I haven't spent much time here for the last five or six years There was no sound. The color was the same as a search light beam. It looked like a search light beam reflecting off a cloude I couldn't tell how many objects there were. When I saw these before, they were in the same loca litye They looked like a search light crossing one another then all at once they woula stop one on top of the other. I couldn't see any trail or exhaust. There was no propulsion that I know of. They moved rapidly. They moved a lot faster than an ordinary search light beam would have moved, They would start on one side of the horizon and move to the other. They would start just like a beam would and move across the sky until they reached the same place and stop on top of one another. I didn't see them disappear, rt this at approximately 2300 (CST) on 6 July 1953. observed these with the naked eye. 4+e i was watching through the second (2d) story of the dormitory. There was &@ screen on the window and the window was opene The object was in the direction of Southeast of the dormitory, almost to a right angle = 85° to 90°. 5e I have lad no experience observing aircraft, was in the ground forces of the service for thirty-three (33) months. On this particular night it was cloudy; the overcast was more or he ba ckground of the object I was watching.
