Statement of Leonard Duresea, A/3c, Air Police Section, 747th AC & W Squadron, On the 23 March 1953 between the hours of 2030 and 2200 while on duty at the Gate House, I noticed in the sky Northwest of the site, an object oval in shape that gave off light the color of a star. I could not identify the object, but it resembled somewhat &a happening that occured approximately five nights before; however on the first night the object possessed more characteristics, The object traveled at an usastable rate of speed and the light flashed on and off. 1t seemed to stop at scattered intervals and it could not be traced after entering a path of light given off by a search light. The happenings that occured on the first night I could not a- credit to any source. The happenings that occured on the 23 March I supposed to be the result of the weather station behind the site. ae 7 LEONARD DURESEHA JR A/3c 3; AF-18 419 404 Air Policeman NOTE: THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS INFORMATION AFFECTING THE NATIONAL DEFENSE OF THE UNITED STATES WITHIN THE MEANING OF THE ESPIONAGE ACT, 50 U.S. C.— 31 AND 32, AS AMENDED.
