The object was sighted by radar at 1707 E, Houre and tracked until 1725 &, Hours, the object was again sighted at 17,5 5. Hours and faded at 3, Object was observed by an AN/MPS~5 and an AN/TPS-1B, 4s The AN/MPS-5 radar set is located at Congaree AFB, 3.0., Coordinates Lat. 33 degrees 56 minutes and 0 seconds North, the Lon. 80 degrees 47 minutes and 30 seconds West, The AN/TPS-18 is located at Camden, &.C., Coordinated Lat. 34 degrees 15 minutes and 10 seconds North, the Lon. 80 dezrees 37 min- utes and © seconds West. The object was first sighted at 65 miles from Con- garee AF on a heading of 60 degrees and an estimated altitude of 20,000 ft. The track faded at 20 miles north of Congaree on a heading of 360 degrees. Redar contact wes again made at 1745 E. Hours and faded at 1635 &. Hours.
