At approximately 2045 EST, 4 March 1953, the following information was received by this station (p-l)9) from the GOC Filter Center at Syracuse, New York: The Filter Center at Syracuse, New York notified this station that a Mrs. Gohn of 203 Village Drive, Syracuse, New York, Phone Number Syr. 7-33505, observed an unidentified flying object approximately 3 miles from Hancock Field, (no direction given), at approximately 205 EST, March 1953. The object was of dirigible type, with holes in the sides and flashing a yellow light. The altitude was given as tree- top level. No other information was given as to description, speed, or direction. Observer, Mrs. Gohn, stated that this is the third time that she has seen this ob-= ject, once, a month ago, once on 3 March 1953, and this sighting. Weather in that vicinity was unknown at the time of sighting. ~ < The authenticity of this report is unknown as information was very brief and given by only one source.
