At approximately 1825 EST, 11 March 1953, the following information was received by this station (P-)9) from the GOC Post at Watertown, New York: GOC post at Watertown, New York notified this station that an unidentified fly- ing object was observed approximately one (1) mile West of their post located 3 de- grees 58 minutes N, 75 degrees 5l: minutes W, at approximately 1810 EST, 11 March 1953, This object was observed by twelve (12) persons of the GOC, and was reported as oval in shape, with two (2) fairly large shafts, glowing like a star, white, orange, blue, and green in color, traveling at jet speed, at an altitude of approximately 20,000 to 25,000 feet. Color was later given as orange, No sound was audible. Object was observed for approximately two hours and 10 minutes. Weather in that vicinity was 5,000 thinly overcast, with winds 20 to 25 knots. The authenvicity of this report seems fairly genuine since it was observed by twelve persons of the GOC for approximately two hours.
