> 4 AF FORM 112—RART I ; VESrr. | (CLASSIFICATION) APPROVED 1 JUNE 1948 AIR INTELLIGENCE INFORMATION REPORT From (HRW), 6024 AISS, PIAFB ee PRESQUE ISLE, MAINE F3G~1~5A 1 2 PAGE OF SIGHTING OF UNIDENTIFIED LIGHT I, DESCRIPTION OF THE OBJECT: One (1) dark red, light, circular in shape, and four (4) or five (5) times larger tham any visible star, displayed no aerodynamic features, Path of flicht was either in a westerly direction or descending in altitude, The light lost some of its intensity, but did not seem to change in size before disappearing below the hill, (See Inclosure 71, this report). II, TIME OF SIGHTING: “Sighting was made between 2030 hrs EST and 2130 hrs Es?, either 23 Feb 1953 or 24 Feb 1953, Sighting was conducted for three (3) to four (4) minutes until the light disappered, IIIT, MANNER OF OBSERVATION: Only surface observation wes conducted from a stationary position, IV. LOCATION OF OBSERVER: Sighting was made from the vicinity of EASTON CENTER CUMMUNITY, MAINE, (46037 "67°47! ) Mrs Henry Miller's home fis located approximately one half (#) mile south of the US Coustoms Office. The US Coustoms Office is located at the intersection of Highway # 10 and the Riviere des Chutes road on which Mrs Miller's home is located, ( See Inclosure # 2, this report), No estimate of distance or altitude of the licht was given, bythe observer, The ,estimated Azimuth of the light at this point would be approximately 280° and the Blevetion approximately 20°, V. IDENTIFYING INFORMATION OF OBSERVERS: - he Observer was identified as Mrs Henry Miller end has resided in her present home in the EASTON CENTER COMMUNITY for twenty (20) years. Mrs, Miller is the wife of Mr Henry Miller, & successful Potato farmer, who resides with her.From the appearance of Mrs Miller and her home, she a&pp= eared to have @ high standing in the community, to be of average intelligence and reliablity, When auestioned as to why she did not report the appearance of the unusal light@ sooner Mrs Miller said she did not realize the importance of reporting vnusal objects and wished to avoid publicity.
