Sggin text of aes n112—Part II.) ee oN s a SUBJECT: FLYOBRPT » af ny i In accordance with AFL 200-5, dated 29 April 1952, et: Unidentified Flying Objects Reporting (Short Title: FLYOBRPT), the following report of Unidentified Flying Objects is submitted: On 27 December, 2209 MST, William B, Brown, Central Airlines pilot, shortly after taking off from Borger, Texas, observed an unusual aerial phenomenon, The object appeared to be at the same altitude as the observer, traveling from east to west be- tween Borger and Amarillo. The object appeared to accelerate in a slight climbing turn to the northwest. The object appeared like a bright light followed by an ex- haust trail or contrail. The object disappeared to the west. The object was report- edly seen from the control tower at Amarillo, Texas. Although attempts to obtain factual information from the tower operator by mail, have produced negative results. This report includes the above mentioned observation and three ground observa- tions from Albuquerque, New Mexico. The elapsed time from the Amarillo sighting and the Albuquerque sighting was approximately 6 minutes. The reports from Albuquerque are near identical with the Amarillo report. This may have been the same object, if it was the speed would be near 3,000 MPH, : On 27 December, 1952, 2215 MST, Carlton D. Chapman and John ©. Tarlton, CAA radio operators, Albuquerque, New Mexico, while on duty at the radio station located at the northwest corner of Kirtland Air Force Base, observed an unusual aerial phenomenon. The object was moving from east to west emanating a bright white light and leaving a contrail or exhaust trail. The object was also observed from a resi- dential section of Albuquerque by Farrell B. Brumley, AEC Sandia Corp employee. Mr. Brumley studied under Dr. La Paz, a well known local astronomer. The information given by Mr. Brumley paralled that received from the two CAA employees at Kirtland, The time differs by two minutes. Mr. Brumley was not completely sure of the exact accuracy of his watch. No aircraft were known to be in the Amarillo-Albuquerque area at the time of the observations.
