Forwarded herein is a report of unidentified flying objects as obtained by the 1946th AACS Squadron, S-2, officer Capt. Frederick A, Boswell, AO~2044539, 12 August 1952, &. About 2300 hours local on 11 August the Fire Department called the Control Tower and asked if we would look to the south of the tower and if we could see any strange sights in the sky. When I looked I saw three objects or lights in the sky. One was ea lot plainer than the other two. It seemed to be some kind of spinning mass. The edges seemed rough and trailed along the side to give it a spimning effect. It seemed to be flat. It was standing in one spot spinning for few seconds and then disappeared to the left and down with great speed. (Given by A/3c. James C. Ray, AF14403680.) b. Following was given by A/3c. James Christodolou, AF15471733. At approximately 2115 hours lecal on Monday night (11 August) I noticed a bright oval shaped object which was located on the south side of the field. The object seemed to be spinning with a great amount of Speed and it left a slight path. The object moved toward the east and then disappeared. The object could not have been over 5,000 feet for the weather report was one-eight at five thousand. ¢. Following was given by A/2e. Robert J. Vereh, AF12322180, tower trick chief. At approximately 2300 hours local on 11 August the tower was notified by the Fire Department that they saw approximately | three to four glowing objects epproximately south to southwest of the field. I looked and saw three oval shaped bright objects that Seemed to be spinning around. They disappeared at around 2301 local. 2- Also, attached hereto is a statement as received by a member of this office on 14 August 1952 from A/3c. Francis J. Mass: fC cc) ke I, A/3e. Francis J. Wenzel, saw four (4) unidentified objects while standing outside the Fire Department Building at about 2315 local flying to the East. Then they went out of sight about five (5) minutes later they returned flying to the West. They remained in sight for one (1) or two (2) minutes, the both times I saw them. Formation and Direction of Flight o oo 8 ——> WW ooo co— > WF First Formation Flying East second Formation Flying West, then one (1) climbed upward and disappeared, others continued flying Westward and disappeared. : They were white in color and in a way they looked like the moon. They disappeared just blending into the dark sky. iI first saw the objects fly over the buildings SW of the base. They were about ten (10) or fifteen (15) miles away. Altitude undetermined, speed unknown, no sound heard. After objects appeared the second time I called tower, time was approximately 2320 local.
