Both observers identified the time of sighting at approximately 2100 hours EST. 1. Unidentified Flying Objects: a. Date and lime: “Approximately 2100 hours, 6 January 1953 d, Weather: ‘ Seattered showers and thunderclouds, 500 ft. ceiling, visibility 15 Miles, pressure 210, 1041.0 miligrams, temperature 61°, dewpoint, 42, ) s Wind, South at 5 knots, altimeter reading 30.14. 2. Uy. Robert Chandler and Mrs, Robert Chandler were interviewed by this office separately #t 1500 hrs. 7 January 1953. Mr. Chandler stated that at approximately 2100 hours EST, 6 January 1953, while seated in the front seat of an automobile moving West ontthe East-West unpaved road North of Warner Robins, Georgia, he noticed an orangé glowing objeet traveling West at a slow rate of speed, slower than a con- ventional type aircraft. Wr, Chandler stated it was visible for approximately 6 to 7 minutes and that it was a very dark night. Mrs, Chandler duplicated her husband's statement when interviewed. — . Observers stated that the object was shaveless and they detected no vibra- tions, smoke, flame or odor. 4. Check with Base Weather Station, Robins AFB, Ga. and Weather Station, ‘ochran Field (Macon Municipal Airport) Georgia, revealed that no weather balloons were released on 6 January 1953. aT" 5. (Check with Base Control Tower, Robins ArB, Georgia and Cochran field, Ga. - I. ? revealed no record of any aircraft in that vicinity at that time. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chandler were not under the influence of intoxicants at of observation and were in good health. 7. Wr, and Nis.
