. At approximately 19:34, MST, 27 January 1953,
| y of the 63rd Bomb Squadron, 43rd Bomb W Medium, Davis—Monthan
Air Force Base and his wife 3» Tucsen, —
Arizona, observed an unidentified object trave a general Southwest
direction. The object was traveling at a high rate of speed and appeared to trail
a rocket-type exhaust. (See diagram). The ebject appeared round, brilliant white
in color and larger than the largest star in the sky. There was no discernible
propulsion noise. HEE) ss'2tes the object disappeared in about one
minute after traveling through about 30 degrees of arc. It faded from view as
if due to great distance.
