TR-2-63 Wing Intelligence, Moody AFB, Gae ATRE 4 Smears . mace 2 or 3 PAGES le On 28 January 1953 at avoroximately 2135 hours, SOURCE observed a unusually bright light northwest of Albany, Georgiae At the time of first sighting, object was circular in shape and SOURCE first thought it was ane other aircraft or a unusually bright star. Object was white in color. When first sighted, SOURCE was flying on a heading of three five five (355) degrees . at four thousand (4,000) feet and the object appeared to be slightly above oe the aircraft. At the end of the observation SOURCE was flying a ten thou~ : sand (10,000) feet and the object appeared to be slightly below the aircrafts _ At the time of the first sighting, object was white in color, but the last LARS three (3) minutes of the observation object constantly changed color, from - white to orange and back. At 2230 hours SOURCE reported to Albany radio, requesting Moody AFB weather, Albany radio queried SOURCE on vosition and then asked if any unusual. objects had been sighted. When SOURCE answered affirmative they stated that an object as described had been sighted and that radar contact had been made. This radar contact had been made at the aporoximate hours mentioned aboves. No: apparent movement of the object was seen, however, it appeared to maintain the same relationship to the SOURCE who was flying at three hundred (300) miles per houre The aerodynamic characteristics could not be determined, nor was there any trail or exhaust visible, 2, SOURCE observed the object for approximately seventeen (17) minutes, at. 2135 hours, 28 Jamary 1953. | 3.
