On 17 April 1952, Sy of sault ste Marie, Michizan, was driving east on Michigan State Hichway Mumber 28. SRE. states that at approximately 1600 hours on that date and at a point approximately eight (8) miles south of Sault Ste Marie, he observed for about sixty (60) seconds, a round, pink, stationary object at an altitude of five thousand (5000) feet to eight thou- sard (8000) feet approximately eight (8) miles to the north. The object appeared to have a diameter equal to that of a B-29 type aircraft or larger. hh WE further states that he contimed driving but glanced from his car window from time to time in an attempt to determine the size, shape, color, distance, height and route of travel of the object so that he could report it to the author= ities at Camp Lucas. 3 * | , <.- Rumors have spread to a small number of people in Sault Ste Marie. but investigation revealed that no other person or persons had seen the phenomenon. ep e 3e The investigator, Captain Woodham, reports that the Sky was clear with the temperature at fifty (50) degrees. | COMMENTS of Preparing Officers 1.
