1. A Soviet Army publication (name unknown) a magazine for technical news,
allegedly the issue of February, 1950, published by the High Commissariat of the
Armed Forces of the USSR, 25 Red Square, Moscow, USSR, under the patronage of
Marshalis TOLBUCHIN and BERIA, contains an article about the "Flying Saucers",
The magazine is classified "Secret" and is distributed to officers only. (Infor
mant believes that distribution is permitted only to Majors and above.)
2. The description of subject apparatus (Discs) is as follows: (See also
attached Exhibit "A")
Diameter ot Disc; about +5 meters.
Thickness of disc in its center; about 5e cn,
Material of disc; Sheet metal of a special alloy (containing also steel)
coated with a speciel aluminum paint.
3 The discs were allegedly designed and constructed by the Military
Technical Experimental Institute in Leningrad, USSR. The operation of the discs
is explained as a “remote control" experiment, with no military value attached
to it for the time being. The Soviets claim to have reached heights of up to
25,000 meters with the discs.
4. In the same magazine an "ag" ~ bomb "500" is described which has allegedly
25 times the power of the bomb dropped by the Americans on Hiroshima in 1945.
The bomb uses atom "125", but the name of the atom could not be furnished. (See
attached Exhibit "B".)
5. Contidential informant was able to read these articles while alone in
the office of an MGB official. Attempts are currently being made to obtain this
magazine which deals with subjects in a more detailed manner.
