If you could supply me with any information regar ding this sighting or any other sighting, including photographs and recordings of interviews with aircraft crew personnel, I would greatly appreciate it. Administration Avenue S.W. 20591 Dear Mr. Engen: I was quite interested to hear of the recent Japan Airlines UFO "sighting" .. tha t took place between Iceland and Anchorage. As an optometrist and perceptual lighting specialist, information regarding the nature of the "light belts" and the conditions during which they were observed could, potentially, prove quite significant in my ongoing research of the sensory aspects of color vision. I am anxious to obtain relevant data concerning this incident. Would it be possible to obtain a CORY of the official FAA re2ort and a transcript of · communications between the flight crew and ground controllers?
