Anchorage, Alaska (AP) -If you want an inside look at a Japan Air Lines pilot's recent claim that he saw a UFO, the Federal Aviation Administration will send you everything it has about the incident for $194.30. .The-complete-package includes tapes of inter- views with crew members, spaceship drawings by the JAL pilot and air controllers' statements, even four glossy color photos of regenerated ra- dar data. The unusual FAA mail-order offer is an effort to cope with enormous public interest in the No. vember sighting, said spokesman Paul Steucke. Since the pilot's claim was publicly disclosed, the FAA's Anchorage office has received infor- mation requests from more than 200 members of the news media, as well as 46 requests from individuals. The agency is also offering 20 individual items, ranging from a $50 cassette tape of com- munications between the controllers and the flight crew to a 30-cent copy of an FAA form summarizing the sighting. Kenjyu Terauchi reporied on Nov. 17 that his Boeing 7 47 cargo jet was shadowed by two belts oflight as it crossed into Alaska on a flight from Iceland. Terau~hi also reported seeing a huge spaceship the size of two an-craft carriers. He radioed the sighting to Anchorage FAA flight controllers, who saw what they thought was an object on their radar screens. Philip J.
